Anthem is my artistic and theatrical research project, based on the desire to rethink the concept of the “anthem” as a collective symbol. My interest lies in exploring what happens when this anthem does not represent a single homogeneous identity, but rather a cluster of diverse, dissident, vulnerable and powerful voices.

The starting point of the process is this tension between unity and plurality. It begins with a physical anthem, constructed from bodies, frictions, and landscapes that emerge when we stop seeking formal perfection and open ourselves up to cracks, ruptures, wounds, and differences.

My focus is primarily on the poetic and political value of these non-normative forms and voices as a means of resistance against the hegemonic discourses of capitalism and patriarchy. Fragility and diversity are not obstacles, but rather sources of creativity.

As Leonard Cohen says, “there is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in”: this will be our starting point.
