Nadia Hafid IN RESiDENCE at the School Jaume Balmes

In our artistic project we embark on a journey of reflection and exploration of today's society and our role as individuals in it. We recognise that society is diverse and complex, and believe that through art we can critically examine social dynamics and our own actions.

Our aim is to use art as a tool to raise awareness and promote dialogue on important social issues. We will cover issues such as identity, diversity, inclusion, gender, race, sexuality, inequalities and other key aspects of the human experience.

We aim to create a space for expression and active listening, where participants can share their personal perspectives and experiences. Through different artistic mediums we will aim to give a voice to diverse perspectives. We are committed to challenging our own prejudices and privileges and promoting an atmosphere of respect and empathy among participants. We recognise that our individual actions have an impact on society at large, and we want to explore how we can make a positive contribution to social change. With this project, we hope to inspire greater understanding and connection between members of our community. We want the reflections and artworks created in this space to become a catalyst for change and action, and for each individual to feel empowered to contribute to a more just and equitable society. Through an artistic experience we will explore introspection, dialogue and the building of bridges between us. Together we will explore how we can be agents of change and make a positive contribution to the society we live in. The 4th year secondary school pupils at the Institut Jaume Balmes will take part in a collaborative artistic project where all the participants will be able to contribute and define all the aspects of this creative process. The shared approach will allow each individual to bring their unique ideas, experiences and skills to the project, which will enrich the final work and make each participant feel an important part of the process.

We hope that this shared art project will be an inspiring and enriching experience for all involved and that it will allow each voice to be heard and valued in the process of defining and creating the project. This will result in a meaningful and powerful work that reflects the diversity and richness of the participants' experiences.
