Mar Garcia and Javi Soler

Mar García, graduate in Choreography and Performance from the Institut del Teatre (IT) and graduate in Psychology from the University of Valencia, and Javi Soler, graduate in Orchestra Conducting from the Catalonia College of Music (ESMUC) and Primary Education teacher from the University of Valencia, make up a company motivated by research and the creation of stage productions based on how movement and sound can relate and intersect, with both playing a leading role in the performance.
Their working style is defined by the specificity of the material they use, a particular focus on connecting with the audience, and a mix of technical references from contemporary composition alongside those from their own generation and the collective imagination.

Since 2021, the company has participated in residencies at venues such as El Graner, La Caldera, Impuls a la Dansa in Dansa València, the Centre d'Art i Natura de Farrera, Residencias Paraíso with Colectivo RPM, the University of Valencia and Corralito with the TNT festival. Their productions, which include Caribe Mix ‘23, RECORD: què ens passarà?, miccionario and Nicolasito Pertusato, have been part of the programming of events such as the Madrid en Danza Festival, Dansa Metropolitana, Dansa València, the Joan Miró Foundation, the Viriato Theatre (Portugal), the TNT Festival, Condeduque, the Bucles Festival and the SAÓ Festival, and have received various awards in contexts such as the 10 Sentidos International Competition (Focus Days Award) and the Madrid Paso A2 Choreography Competition (Audience Award, Emprendo Danza Award and Dansa València Award).

Their production Caribe Mix '23 will soon be part of the programme at the Mercat de les Flors in Barcelona (February 2026) and the Dansa a les Escoles programme at the La Caldera dance creation space (February 2026). During the 2025/26 season, they will have research residencies at the Teatro Calderón in Valladolid, the Teatre L'Artesà in El Prat de Llobregat and L'Estruch in Sabadell, among others, supported by the Dansa Metropolitana festival.

Mar is a performer for creators such as María Jurado, Silvia Batet, Tomás Pintos, Agrupación Sr. Serrano and Núria Guiu, among others, and has danced in the operas Adriana Lecouvreur (directed by David McVicar) and Rusalka (directed by Christof Loy and choreographed by Klevis Elmazaj) at the Gran Teatre del Liceu. Javi is a performer for creators such as Improvável Produções and the opera Rusalka at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, and collaborates as a composer and musical director with creators such as Mabel Olea and Tomás Verdú.

Their outreach projects include La Cora, the choir of La Caldera, Survival Kit with the Teatre L'Artesà creation studio, and they have developed projects with Dansa Metropolitana (Vibrations and The Best of Both Worlds) and Dansa València (Burriana' Scores). They will soon be launching the Camins Vius Secundària programme, an initiative of the Teatre L'Artesà, and some specific collaborations with the Russafa Escènica festival in Valencia and the TNT festival.
