Vivian Friedrich (1989)
I was born in the year that the Berlin Wall fell, which holds special significance for me, leading me to question the mental and physical limits that humanity is capable of setting. Similarly, growing up in a family of stained glass artists, known as Bohemian stained glass artists, has influenced my fascination with shapes and reflections.
Performing circus creator, researcher and author. She studied circus arts and movement languages in Tilburg (ACaPA, Netherlands), Hamburg and Barcelona. Meanwhile, she obtained a distance learning degree in psychology and in 2018 completed her training with a Certificate in Circus Dramaturgy from CNAC (FR) and ESAC (BE). As a circus artist, she has specialised in the U-pole, creating her own vocabulary by combining tightrope, aerial rope and trapeze techniques. From 2017 to 2021, Vivian was a facilitator for the Dramaturgy Workshops at the Central del Circ and, as an intellectual, she was a guest speaker at the Nou Barris Cultural Centre, the Barcelona Independent Theatre Festival, the 4th Circus Dialogues Meeting and CircoRed in Madrid. She is co-creator of LaRed by the Fam. Lizajous collective, creator of the I Love My Car project, and playwright and artistic facilitator for the production Breach by Cia. Som Noise, a company selected for the circusnext+ programme. In 2022, she premiered her work Kristall Bohème [Excavació d'Una Memòria] at the Mercat dels Flors, rediscovering her family's long tradition of glass craftsmanship. She recently premiered her new production, Sklenka Melta, which is a quintet for four bodies and one material, at the Fira Trapezi Reus and the Festival Grec in Barcelona.

Institut Doctor Puigvert is located right next to where the Carretera de Trinitat meets the Besòs River. It first opened in 1985, although the current building was not inaugurated until 1991-92. The school's governing board decided to name it Institut Doctor Puigvert in memory of urologist Antoni Puigvert (1905-1990), whose childhood was closely linked to Sant Andreu.
