Paula Vicente Puiggròs (Barcelona, 1997)

Paula Vicente is a visual artist and educator. Her practice questions how we inhabit and relate to the world and the ecosystems that surround and shape us, seeking to rethink the everyday to open up questions, experiment with other ways of listening and rhythms, and make space for doubt.

She graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona and has a Master's degree in Visual Arts from the Kask School of Arts in Belgium. In addition, she has completed the course Sound Art: Concept, Editing, Recording (Escola Massana, 2021) and Kaleidoscope: Articulating Agents between Art and Education (EART, 2019).

She has participated in various festivals and exhibitions in Catalonia, Argentina, Belgium and Italy. Her work has been exhibited at venues such as Fira A362 (Argentina), the Institut d’Estudis Ilerdencs (Lleida), Jardins de Llum 2024 (Manresa), Fabra i Coats (Barcelona), Hangar (Barcelona), Het Paviljoen (Belgium) and Sala d'Art Jove (Barcelona), among others. She has also designed and directed co-creation and co-transformation workshops for children, families and adults.

Winner of the IEI Embarrat 2023 award and a full residency grant at Can Serrat, El Bruc, she received the Art Jove 2021 production grant in Barcelona.

She has completed other residencies in Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and Argentina in spaces such as Coordenades Residència, Nau Coclea, Konvent 0, CACiS, El Bòlit, Nau Estruch, És Far Cultural and EART, where she has also worked as part of the educational team. She is currently a resident at La Escocesa, Barcelona.
