Laura Ginès IN RESiDENCE at the School La Ribera
I would like to share a research project with the group that I started a few months ago. It involves observing and exploring the idea of gardens in contemporary cities, both as a form of condensed nature and as an attitude among citizens and neighbours.
In the context of apparent requirements for boundaries, interruptions, walls, fences, traffic, railway tracks, etc., what kind of garden can we create for ourselves?
Using fieldwork and tracking methodologies (photographic, video or audio recording of clues), we will create an inventory/archive from which to craft urban fictions, fables and utopias about being, playing and occupying public space.
