Clara Viñals (Lleida, 1990)

Clara Viñals is a composer, guitarist and singer with the band Renaldo & Clara. Since 2009, she has released several EPs and singles, as well as the albums Fruits del teu bosc (2014), Els afores (2017), L'amor fa calor (2020), La Boca Aigua (2023) and L’encant (2026). These releases have earned her recognition both in Catalonia and across Spain, establishing her as one of the key songwriters and performers for understanding today's independent music scene.

Her work is rooted in alternative pop, but confidently ventures into hip hop, folk, UK garage, funk and electronic music. The project is in constant evolution and has made experimentation one of its defining features, while retaining a distinctive identity that is particularly evident in its lyrics.

She has won two MIN Awards for Best Album in Catalan, the Enderrock Award for Best Album of the Year and the Temps de les Arts Award for Popular Music. Her work has also received acclaim from media outlets such as Rockdelux, El Periódico, diari Ara, Jenesaispop and La Vanguardia.

Institut Torre Vicens (Lleida) is joining the EN RESiDÈNCiA programme for the first time. This school opened its doors in the 1991-1992 academic year to deal with overcrowding at other schools in Lleida. Its current location comes from a donation to the Lleida Provincial Council of a house and land owned by Rosa Vicens Roca, known as “Torre Vicens” (Vicens Tower).  After that, the estate changed hands a few times and, in 1981, it was sold to Lleida City Council to build Institut Torre Vicens. Currently, Institut Torre Vicens teaches secondary education, sixth form and various vocational training courses.
