Alba Ramió i Güell

Artist, researcher and mediator, Alba Ramió i Güell develops a practice at the intersection of these disciplines. Trained in circus arts in Catalonia, France and Stockholm, she has built a career shaped by collective acrobatic balancing and research that questions the practices and imaginaries of contemporary circus. Her work spans stage creation, research, mediation, educational activities and dramaturgical support. All her work is grounded in a situated practice that places care at its centre and draws on queer theory as a conceptual framework.

She is a co-founder of the international non-mixed collective Ino Kollektiv. She has also created He creat una cosa que em fa por, a piece that explores questions of authorship, and takes part in various artistic collaborations and dramaturgical support processes.

She leads circus-related research and educational projects such as Paradoxa Circense, which focuses on the relationship between pain and pleasure in circus practice; Improportes, which explores improvisation and acrobatic balancing; Arcana Circense, a research project on circus imaginaries; and the educational resource kit Les cures i el circ, a mediation tool developed with the support of La Central del Circ. She also takes part in creative and mediation projects and contexts such as Indòmites at Teatre Municipal de Girona.
