This video is the end result of a process of reflection on prejudices with students over the course of the year. As a result of these reflections, the students themselves wrote the script, supervised and helped by the artist and the teachers, and interpreted it among themselves.

To begin with, they chose the subject that they would work on over the course of the year; in this case, the prejudices or preconceived ideas we have about others for some reason, normally for reasons of gender, race, social behaviour and so on.

Ro Caminal designed a number of dynamics to enable students to reflect on prejudices: as we all have some sort of prejudice towards others, and as we may all experience situations of prejudice, one way or another, at the hands of others which affect us in different ways.

When writing the script, the students reflected on and each shared a situation of prejudice experienced first-hand. Some included a situation of prejudice experienced by them or which they felt towards some other person.

So, in the video, in the style of a Greek Chorus, the students can be seen reciting the definition of prejudice together and then, one by one, they recite their own experience of prejudice.

The process was accompanied by several visits to the Miró Foundation and complementary activities, such as technical sessions or sessions with an actress to get over fear of the camera.

The students also went through a personal artistic process based on their own artist diary, a book in which they drew sketches or wrote down notes, to accompany their work in the sessions.

Although some technical aspects such as recording, lighting and editing were carried out by the artist and another professional, all the other aspects involved were decided on between all the participants in the Wednesday sessions.

Presentation
The presentation took place at the Miró Foundation: a screening, in the Foundation's auditorium, and a small exhibition, with artist books, in the Workshop Space. The students decided to do a performance at the Workshop Space which involved removing the black T-shirt they had used in the video and stretching it out, which meant that at least this prejudice could now be eliminated.

As the students themselves said during the final presentation:
“This project has helped us to understand what prejudice is, which is judging someone before you get to know them. It also brought us together and helped us to get to know ourselves and the rest of the group.
We have learnt how to argue, respect the opinions of others, empathise, put ourselves in the shoes of others and put up with frustration. We have learnt how to think about things before we do them.”
