Born in East Germany in 1980, her childhood was marked by the changes that came after the Berlin Wall fell. As a member of Friedrichstadtpalast Berlin children's group, her education in theatre, music and dance started early. After studying modern singing / jazz at the renowned JIB Berlin, she moved to Barcelona in 2005, where she soon became involved in various projects that paved her way to an extensive musical career. Her artistic creation is characterised by writing songs and experimenting with various styles and formats, ranging from jazz, pop and folk to electronica, either as a solo artist or with a band. Her latest project, the musical and visual show L’últim camí de Walter Benjamin, won the 2018 Puig Porret Award and was the inaugural concert at the 2019 Vic Live Music Market. In addition to her solo career, she is also well-known as a side-woman (vocalist, guitarist and keyboard player) for bands like Delafé y las Flores Azules, Steven Munar & The Miracle Band, Maria Rodés and, currently, the Sanjosex band. She has always combined her artistic career with teaching, and she is currently a singing teacher at the Conservatori del Liceu.

The Milà i Fontanals Secondary School (Raval, Ciutat Vella) originates from the Institut Escola Pi i Margall Primary and Secondary School, created in 1933, during the Second Spanish Republic. As of the 1961-62 academic year, it was located in a new building specifically designed as a secondary school, which is its current location. There is a great cultural diversity among the students at the Milà school (more than eighty different countries), with very diverse levels of learning and economic and social situations. The school has designed strategies to cater to this diversity using the centre’s resources (small groups, welcome classes, split-classes, extra tutoring classes, etc.) as well as creating links with their surroundings.
